Christianity
 
Christians pray in a church on Sunday.
Followers are called Christians, and they believe that Jesus is the son of God. Christians base their religion on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Christianity has three main groups: Roman Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant. All three groups consider Jerusalem the holiest city, because they believe that Jesus died and rose from the dead in this city. The goal of Christianity is to achieve eternal life with with God. Christians follow Jesus' teachings about living a moral life and participating in sacraments, or sacred ceremonies. Most Christians believe in Trinity, which is the idea that God has 3 parts: God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. They believe that Jesus was part of a God, died on a cross, and then ascended to heaven to be with God and Father. The Christian book is the Bible and is divided into  2 parts: Old Testament and the New Testament.
 
 
Judaism
 
Jews pray in a synagogue on Saturday.
During the service, the teacher or rabbi leads the people in prayers, readings from holy book, and gives a sermon. Followers are called Jews. The goal of Judaism  The Torah's laws guide many aspects of Jewish religions and social life. For example, the Torah commands that all Jews to not eat or drink during the holiday, Yom Kippur. The holiday is a day that the Jews set aside for being sorry for bad acts. There are three main divisions of Judaism: Orthodox, Conservative, and Reformed

Islam

Muslims pray in a mosque on Friday. They usually pray five times a day. The followers are called Muslims. They are believed to be the descendants of Ishmael. Their holy book is the Qur'an. The founder of Islam is Muhammadad. They believe that he had a vision where an angel gave him a message from God saying that Muhammad is God's Final Prophet. Their important tradition is the 5 Pillars, which are the Muslims' basic practice.  Arabic is the sacred language of Muslim. During the service, the leader or imam reads from the holy book and gives a sermon. The 2 main divisions are Sunni and Shia, and they have different opinions on who should replace Muhammad.

CURRENT EVENT : This current event to summarize is about  spies go. After two years, Shane Bauer and Johsh Fattal both at age 29 will be released. T. The President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is trying to get this done before he make his arrival to the U.N. General Assembly.    
    These two Americans were hiking in the northern Iraq region, when they might have accidentally went over an unmarked Iran border and because of this, they were accused of spying on Iran.
